Description:South east view showing a central block of three storeys with a colonnade. On each side there are wings with semi-circular bays and a rounded roof with a balustrade. There is a park with cattle in the foreground. [James Stuart, architect, 1772.] Inscribed: 'To Thos. Anson Esq. M.P. this south east view of Shugborough is inscribed by his most obliged and humble servant S. Shaw'. Engraved by J. Rawle after a drawing by Rev. S. Shaw.
