Description:'Moore's Cottage,' showing a two-storeyed cottage with a pyramidal roof. [Thomas Moore, the Irish poet, lived here between 1813 and 1817.]Anonymous.

It stands on Slack Lane and was known as Mayfield Cottage. Since at least the 1960s it has been known as Stancliffe Farm.
